...One more thing to go...
I'm not a texture artist. Never will be. All my textures are pulled from the real world (With the exception of some carpeting), and with editing to either make them tillable, darker, or just lower size. The promenade, the main area in the game, is nearly done. Coming full circle: I need a wall texture. There are two possibilities, a grey brick, or a marbled texture. It needs to fit the theme, however, so it would have to be a rather dark marble. Regardless, it's just plain grey right now and it looks terrible.
I also have to sort out a few paintings before the teaser, mainly, what I want for a massive one looking down the promenade. I've pulled a couple designs from the notebook of Leonardo da Vinci, and I think they fit pretty well, along with some stuff I've done myself. I really don't have the funds to commission a painting right now, and I'm morally opposed to AI art, so if you could at all spare any money to donate to my other projects, you can have a key when the game releases and an easter egg / character in the bar. Idk I don't have a ton to offer.
The promenade currently boasts a grand total of two shops. The bar, and Bruno's. They should fill in as development comes along, but it's hard to write shops for this specific society.
Also doing a minor retexturing of the helipad to fit with the current art style.
Once the promenade is complete, I just have to make the residential quarters and then I can start work on the demo, I have an idea of how I want it to go.
Thanks for reading!
